Epic Abstraction: Pollock to Herrera

Description
This exhibit features more than 40 large-scale abstract works from the 1940s into the early 21st century. Among the highlights are Jackson Pollock’s classic drip painting No. 28, 1950 and Louise Nevelson’s Mrs. N’s Palace. They will be shown alongside major works by Franz Kline, Willem de Kooning, Robert Motherwell and Clyfford Still. Also, there will be a selection of Pollock's sketchbooks from the 1930s and '40s as well as an entire gallery dedicated to Mark Rothko's compositions.
