Description

Each fall the Queens County Farm Museum runs a series of family-friendly, harvest-themed events. First up is the Queens County Fair (September 21–22), with blue-ribbon competitions in livestock, produce and arts and crafts, not to mention pie-eating contests, hayrides and live music. On weekends through the end of October, enjoy the Amazing Maize Maze, a pick-your-own pumpkin patch and a sample of New York State apples. The harvest fun finishes with the Children’s Halloween Festival (October 27), featuring kids’ games, races and a petting zoo.
