Description
The traditional Fleet Week in NYC will be held as International Naval Review 250 for the country’s semiquincentennial this summer. It is a series of events honoring those who serve in the US Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines. Expect military vessels from all over coming into New York Harbor, with public tours and exhibitions at various places around the City. Before the official activities begin on July 3, there will be a few performances and other happenings around town. Some highlights of INR 250 include:
July 3: Military performances in Times Square
July 4: Aerial and naval reviews
July 5: Staten Island military band concert
July 6: Ship tours at Pier 88
July 7: 9/11 Memorial band performance
