Description
Nearly 150 years of sports history come together in this exhibition that features championship rings, Olympic medals and other awards from athletic greats. Among the objects displayed in the museum's Hall of Gems are the NFL's Lombardi Trophy, one of Jesse Owens’ gold medals from the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin and Jonquel Jones' and Breanna Stewart's 2024 New York Liberty WNBA Championship rings. This exhibit is part of the museum-wide celebrationWorld Cup, World Cultures: Celebrating the Community and Science of Sport.
