Frida and Diego: The Last Dream
This event has already occurred
Description
Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera were inextricably linked throughout history—primarily for being romantically involved, but perhaps more importantly for being two of Mexico’s most beloved 20th-century artists. MoMA combines forces with the Metropolitan Opera for this installation of their individual works, presented in conjunction with the Met’s production of El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego. Weaving the two together further, Jon Bausor, set and costume designer for the opera, created the installation design that incorporates five paintings and a drawing by Kahlo and more than a dozen paintings by Rivera.
