Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving
This event has already occurred
Description
Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, already well known for her paintings, has become a household name after serving as the subject of various stage performances and two biopics, one of them—Frida—a major Hollywood motion picture. Her influence can be felt worldwide, with her works known for focusing on her ethnicity, disability and politics. The Brooklyn Museum presents the largest exhibition of Kahlo’s works in the United States in the last 10 years. Visitors can view her most famous paintings, drawings and photography along with rarely seen clothing, accessories and personal possessions that were discovered in 2004.
