Ganesha: Lord of New Beginnings
This event has already occurred
Description
Artworks that span eras, from the 7th century to the 21st, trace the many depictions of Ganesha, son of Shiva and Parvati, across the Indian subcontinent, Himalayan range and Southeast Asia. While Ganesha is known as a deity with a sweet tooth and a magician who removes quotidian obstacles, he is sometimes represented as having a more feared element, befitting his role as head of the nature deities.
