Description

Many years ago, before Europeans came along, Central Park was part of a rich Indigenous ecosystem. Today, native communities (including descendants of the Lenape people who called Central Park home) work to sustain their connection to this area. This tour explores Indigenous presence in Central Park from 110th to 59th Streets. Discover native flora, fauna and history in this 4.5-mile, 4-hour guided hike, with a mid-hike picnic (bring your own food and drinks). The hike takes place on two dates: April 13 and 19.
