Groundhog Day

Description

“Okay campers, rise and shine. And don’t forget your booties, ’cause it’s cold out there today.” If that phrase seems familiar to you, you’ve either been living the same day over and over again, or you’ve seen the movie Groundhog Day one too many times. For those in the latter camp, you’re in luck: you have the chance to see the comedy favorite in a new format—on Broadway. Tony-nominated actor Andy Karl plays Phil Connors, the grumpy weatherman character Bill Murray perfected in the 1993 film. The plot is simple—curmudgeon Connors lives the titular day over and over again in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania until he gets things “right.” Barrett Doss stars as his co-worker love interest, Rita Hanson.
