Description
The Center for Fiction hosts an evening with Hannah Lillith Assadi, in conversation with internationally bestselling author Colum McCann, discussing Assadi’s sweeping new novel, Paradiso 17. A new work on the legacy of the 1948 Nakba, the novel follows protagonist Sufien on a restless search for belonging from Palestine to Kuwait, Italy, New York and the deserts of Arizona. Loosely inspired by Assadi’s father, the novel offers a lyrical, deeply personal portrait of war, migration and resilience. A Q&A and book signing will follow.
