NYC Off-Broadway Week

Off-Broadway’s most thrilling shows are offering 2-for-1 tix to Oct 5–18 performances.

Three people in colorful, retro costumes stand confidently on stage. The one in the center has a large bouffant wig; the others wear glasses, one with a long blonde wig and floral outfit, the other in a purple tracksuit and curly wig.

Five people in sports-themed costumes pose in a dramatic, crouched stance on stage, with a background image of a cheering crowd behind them, under bright theatrical lighting.

A young man with curly hair in a black and red jacket stands under a spotlight, holding a phone to his ear and looking surprised against a wooden background.

Description

Inspired by the book and TV show of the same name, this unauthorized musical parody follows golden boy Shane Hollander as he finds himself in a steamy hockey romance. The cast that brings the musical to life believed that they were auditioning for the show’s second season.
