Description

While le style Guimard evokes the ornate Parisian Metro entrances and art nouveau residences across Paris, this exhibition at The Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum examines the more functional and sparse designs of architect Hector Guimard’s social enrichment projects. The show adds historical and urban context to help understand the groundbreaking style that added his personal mark to the aesthetic of Paris.
