Description
Matisse’s The Red Studio has been in MoMA’s collection since 1949 and is among the museum’s most important works. This exhibit explores the history of the painting, primarily through never before seen archival material. In addition, the exhibit includes some of the paintings depicted within the work, which have not been shown together outside of the artist’s studio.
