Description

Hip-hop and jewelry have been closely connected throughout the culture’s global rise. Set in American Museum of Natural History’s gem and mineral halls, Ice Cold takes a look at custom-made jewelry worn by hip-hop icons, including Slick Rick’s gem-encrusted crown, the Notorious B.I.G.’s gold “Jesus piece,” the diamond-studded medallion of Jay-Z’s Roc-a-Fella label and Nicki Minaj’s Barbie pendant.
