Japanese Bamboo Art: The Abbey Collection
This event has already occurred
Description
The Met will exhibit nearly 100 works of Japanese bamboo art—mainly baskets and sculptures—many of which come from the collection New Yorkers Diane and Arthur Abbey and which have never been shown publicly. Accompanying those pieces are hanging scrolls, screen paintings and decorative arts from the Met’s collection that expand upon the bamboo theme.
