Description

This striking exhibit will coincide with multimedia artist Jeffrey Gibson's residency at the New Museum during the winter and spring of 2019. On display will be works celebrating the history and traditions of indigenous crafts, focusing on the tribes that populated the United States prior to the arrival of European settlers. During his residency Gibson will also create new pieces that will be worn and photographed at the museum.
