Jenny Holzer: Light Line
This event has already occurred
Description
Thirty-five years after her iconic LED screen installation circled the rotunda of the Guggenheim Museum, Jenny Holzer is back with a reimagined take on the 1989 display. Piggybacking off her original, Holzer’s text display will once again broadcast a series of truisms and aphorisms that seek to explore the enduring power of language. In a modern twist, this new edition will also feature artificial-intelligence-generated language. The electronic sign extends from the rotunda through all six ramps of the museum, up to the apex. The exhibition also features some of Holzer’s works from the 1970s to today, including paintings, works on paper and stone pieces.
