This event has already occurred
Description
The first museum survey of this queer punk icon features more than 200 works that trace DeSana’s arc from making Georgia landscapes to promoting NYC’s musical landscape of the 1970s and ‘80s. DeSana was known for his efforts to build arts communities outside traditional galleries, displaying his works in artist-run spaces and through mail-art network. See selections from Submission, DeSana’s book of BDSM photography, and from his collaboration with writer and sex worker Terence Sellers.
