King Kong

The cinema’s greatest ape comes to Broadway in this production originally launched in Australia, with British playwright Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) adapting the 1930s movie into a musical. The biggest star of this epic show is a 20-foot tall robotic gorilla controlled by a team of puppet masters who won a Special Tony Award for their groundbreaking technical acheivements. Director and choreographer Drew McOnie (Strictly Ballroom, In the Heights) joins forces with composer Marius de Vries (Moulin Rouge, La La Land) and Australian songwriter Eddie Perfect (Beetlejuice The Musical) for this latest take on a classic tale.
