Description

Though Lee Krasner is not as much of a household name as Jackson Pollock, her work was just as influential in the innovations that emerged with mid-20th century art. Krasner and Pollock met in New York in 1941, married in 1945 and continued to be connected personally and professionally until his untimely death in 1956. This exhibition, named for Krasner’s 1976 painting Past Continuous, includes more than 120 works from both artists that highlight their parallel lives and what they each created during their time together.
