Description
Novelist, poet and singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen was known for being a voice for the human condition, his works exploring religion, politics and raw emotion. His music, highlighted by songs like “Suzanne,” “Hallelujah” and “Bird on a Wire,” has inspired generations of artists. The Jewish Museum celebrates the influence of this global icon through this exhibition of commissioned works, a video projection of Cohen’s drawings and a gallery where visitors can hear covers of his songs performed by Moby, Lou Doillon, Richard Reed Parry and other noted musicians.
