Description

As our country marks the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War, Green-Wood Cemetery hosts this tour that celebrates its role in the 1776 Battle of Brooklyn. The walk begins at the Gothic Arch with the unveiling of a sign to honor Green-Wood as a Revolutionary War battleground and the final resting place of more than 70 war figures. Next, it progresses up Battle Hill, as tour leaders provide history of the war, and ends with the unveiling of a plaque. This tour is free, and preregistration is not required.
