Description

The Met Fifth Avenue reopens its suite of 45 galleries representing European art after a five-year hiatus with this extensive review of paintings from its collection. More than 700 works are on display, including newly acquired paintings and loans, sculptures and decorative art. Arranged chronologically, expect masterpieces from artists like Jan van Eyck, Poussin, El Greco and Goya, plus an expansive 17th-century Dutch art representation and an emphasis on female artists.
