Led by trombonist Sam Chess, this evening honors the life and work of Louis Armstrong, whose music has had lasting influence on jazz and other genres, as well as American culture at large. For Wynton Marsalis, Louis Armstrong embodies the height of musical artistry and humanity. This event is presented in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center.
