Description
As befits the energy, passion and diversity of its namesake neighborhood, the annual Lower East Side Festival of the Arts is one of New York City’s most dynamic displays of culture. More than 100 artists—poets, puppeteers and filmmakers alike—take over the Theater for the New City for three days in May. Past years’ performances have included legendary bad-girl artist Penny Arcade, the Mariana Bekerman Dance Company and more. Saturday’s festivities also include a street fair with food and art vendors.
