Description
Marching bands have been a staple of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade since its inception in 1924. Get into the parade spirit early at the South Street Seaport Museum on Tuesday, November 26, with a booming afternoon of live marching band performances at Pier 16. Enjoy a front-row preview of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as hundreds of students from Temple University and the Damien Spartan Regiment fill the waterfront with high-energy renditions of favorites like “Funkytown,” “Uptown Funk” and other parade classics. Temple University performs at 1 PM, followed by the Damien Spartan Regiment at 2:30 PM. Tickets to the event are free, however access to the historic ships and exhibition galleries at the Seaport Museum is not included with this event.
