Events /Marjorie Prime
An older woman sits on a green armchair in a brightly lit room with patterned wallpaper, while another woman sits on the floor near a doorway, looking contemplative. The scene suggests tension or emotion.
A young man in a suit sits on an ottoman, gesturing as he talks to an older woman with white hair, seated in an armchair with a blanket and cane in a cozy, patterned living room setting.
A man and a woman sit close together indoors. The man looks at the woman with concern, while the woman, dressed in a red and black striped sweater, stares ahead with a serious expression and her hands folded in her lap.

Description

Acclaimed playwright Jordan Harrison is behind this play that poses the question, what would we choose to remember and what would we choose to forget, given the chance? Marjorie Prime is an 86-year-old woman who is losing her memory in her last days. Enter her handsome new AI companion—a computerized version of her deceased husband—who's programmed to feed the story of Marjorie's life back to her. Harrison’s moving play, which stars Danny Burstein, Christopher Lowell, Cynthia Nixon and June Squibb, explores aging, artificial intelligence, memory and love.
