Description
Florence thrived as a cultural capital in the 16th century, when it transformed from a republic to a duchy overseen by Cosimo de’ Medici. This exhibit explores the changing role of the city and its people through the lens of art, featuring nearly 100 works in various mediums. Highlights include pieces by Raphael, Jacopo Pontormo, Agnolo Bronzino and Francesco Salviati.
