Jasper Johns: Mind/Mirror
This event has already occurred
Description
Jasper Johns is considered by many to be the most influential living American artist. Originally conceived to honor both Johns’ 90th birthday and the Whitney’s 90th anniversary, Mind/Mirror will run concurrently at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and comprise paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints, many of which have never before been shown in public. The exhibit’s themes, methods and images at each museum will reflect and echo the other—a nod to the artist's incorporation of mirrors and doubles in his work.
