Description

This extensive show features more than 100 works by Monet, including 20 of the artist’s Venetian views. Co-organized with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and gathering pieces from collections around the world, the exhibit has highlights such as The Doge’s Palace and The Grand Canal, Venice. It’s the first dedicated exploration of Monet’s Venetian works since their debut at Bernheim-Jeune gallery in Paris in 1912; additional context comes from works by J. M. W. Turner, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and other big names.
