Mostly Mozart Festival
This event has already occurred
Description
What would come to be known as the Mostly Mozart Festival began in August 1966, taking advantage of the air-conditioning at recently built Lincoln Center. While climate control is no longer a novelty among concert halls, the huge popularity of the event endures, a testament to the artistic achievements of Wolfgang Amadeus himself, as well as the organizers’ curatorial prowess. The festival’s in-house orchestra is joined by a number of special guests.
