Description
In celebration of soccer community and the grace of its athletes, international short-form dance films will screen at Hearst Plaza. The lineup includes Carmen, a street performance by flamenco artist Carmen Avilés with fast footwork to rival any soccer player’s; Yeah the Boys, a choreographic observation of Australian masculine identity and its relationship with sports culture; the world premiere of With Love, volleying dance moves across a tennis court; the US debut of Manège, featuring 3,000 still images of sports-inspired choreography; and BOLERO.S, a hyper-athletic display honoring diversity of bodies and choreographic aesthetics.
