Description

In one of the greatest marriages of sports and art, the New-York Historical Society presents this exhibition of works from artist LeRoy Neiman, who befriended boxing legend Muhammad Ali in the 1960s and began capturing scenes from some of his most famous fights in portraits, sketches and watercolor paintings, along with moments from Ali’s life outside the ring. See some of Neiman’s most famous representations of Ali in action, including sketches from his “Fight of the Century” and “Thrilla in Manilla” bouts, along with some of Ali’s own artworks.
