Description

New York Comic Con is a celebration of all things comic book related and inspired, and it offers the rare chance for fans to mingle with publishers, writers, performers and illustrators. The self-proclaimed “geek” festival is an intersection of fandoms, including gaming, TV, film, anime, manga, comics and graphic novels. Costumes and cosplay abound at this weird and wacky event, which takes over the Javits Center for screenings, panels, meetups and merchandise booths. This year’s guests of honor are Jurassic World’s Bryce Dallas Howard, X-Men: Days of Future Past’s Elliott Page, X-Men: First Class’ James McAvoy, The Mandalorian’s Ming-Na Wen, Superman’s Nicholas Hoult, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Simu Liu and Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin. Other featured guests include George Takei, Annie Potts, Martin Sheen and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
