The North American Soccer League's Cosmos play in American soccer's second tier, but the team stays in fans' consciousness by frequently signing well-known international players. They make their home at MCU Park in Coney Island, Brooklyn, and look forward to the US Open Cup as a chance to play (and sometimes defeat) their MLS rivals.
