Description
It’s 1946, World War II has ended and New York City is primed for a resurgence. Enter Jimmy Doyle, a native New Yorker with a passion for music and a longing to fall in love; meanwhile, a young, talented singer, Francine Evans, arrives on a bus from Philadelphia. Their romance forms the timeline for this musical. Loosely based on the 1977 Martin Scorsese film of the same name, the production features new songs by John Kander and Fred Ebb with additional lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
