Description

The New York Philharmonic's season celebrates music history and music's future with more than a dozen world, US and New York City premieres. Among the focuses will be works by French composers Ravel and Pierre Boulez. Perennial favorite the Art of the Score honors the 50th anniversary of Jaws (September 26–28) and the 40th of Back to the Future (March 19–22), as well as a holiday time ode to Elf (December 19–22). The year reflects on music director Jaap van Zweden's tenure while anticipating the arrival of Gustavo Dudamel, who takes over in 2026.
