Nick Cave: Forothermore
This event has already occurred
Description
This highly anticipated survey covers the career of beloved artist Nick Cave. Though Cave is perhaps best known for his Soundsuits—a joyful, colorful blend of sculpture and shaggy costuming—this show features video, installations and a number of his early works as well, influenced by some of the sounds of his native Chicago, such as the house music scene. The show title and many of the pieces included in it illustrate the artist’s drive to hold space for marginalized communities. Cave’s frequently stunning work is a testament to the beauty of that commitment.
