Description

Claude Monet’s Vétheuil in Winter is one of the Frick’s few impressionist works. This exhibit, mounted in tandem with a new publication from the museum’s Diptych series, places a new work by Olafur Eliasson alongside Monet’s. In Eliasson’s Colour experiment no. 109, he converts the palette from Monet’s painting onto a round canvas that has a circumference large enough to contain the original.
