Description
The New York Philharmonic’s return to David Geffen Hall begins with Home, a monthlong festival celebrating the restoration of the Philharmonic’s longtime residence. Among the highlights are Etienne Charles’s San Juan Hill: A New York Story, which tells the history of the San Juan Hill neighborhood and the Indigenous and immigrant communities that called the land home on which Lincoln Center now stands; and Open House Weekend (October 29–30), featuring a wide range of cultural organizations performing throughout Geffen Hall. In addition, the NY Phil Archives presents two exhibits exploring the notion of “home,” on view through December in the promenade. The season continues with The Art of the Score: Jurassic Park in Concert (November 9–12), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert (December 20–23) and more throughout the winter and spring.
