Description

French fashion designer Pierre Cardin is a legend of the industry. Known for his avant-garde, Space Age designs of the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, he pushed boundaries and brought high fashion to the masses over a seven-decade career. The Brooklyn Museum’s retrospective—the first in the City in 40 years—includes more than 170 pieces from his archive that tell the story of his acclaimed career. Expect fashion pieces, accessories, “couture” furniture, sketches, personal photographs and film and TV footage. Entrance is timed and ticketed.
