The Met Museum celebrates the unbreakable relationship between rock icons and their instruments—the tools that not only help them each develop their own sound but also become key to their identity and how they present themselves onstage. In cooperation with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Met displays roughly 130 instruments alongside posters and costumes, representing artists across different genres and generations.
