Description
Memorial Day weekend, in late May, marks the official start of beach season in the City. Head to Brighton Beach and Coney Island (Brooklyn) to people-watch, Rockaway Beach (Queens) to surf and Orchard Beach (the Bronx) to observe Pelham Bay Park’s range of wildlife. Lifeguards are on duty daily (10am–6pm) from Memorial Day weekend through the Sunday after Labor Day weekend, in early September.
