Raphael: Sublime Poetry
Mar 29, 2026 - Jun 28, 2026
Description
Raffaello di Giovanni Santi—better known as Raphael—achieved quite a bit in the art world in his short 37-year life. An Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance of the late 15th and early 16th centuries, he is considered a peer of artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. Centuries later, he’s still known as one of history’s most revered and influential artists. The Met presents more than 200 of Raphael’s greatest masterpieces, making this the first comprehensive exhibit of his work in the United States.
