Description
Pulitzer Prize–winning author Suzan-Lori Parks takes Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter and brings it into the present with her two Red Letter Plays, presented in repertory at Signature Theater. In the Blood, is about Hester La Negrita, a poor mother of five who leans on many people from her past to support her family—with disastrous consequences. Obie Award winner Sarah Benson directs.
