Return of the Buffalo: Tatanka Owe Akupi
This event has already occurred
Description
A herd of 50 life-size buffalo puppets gathers in New York City to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. Return of the Buffalo: Tatanka Owe Akupi invites the City to join in as the buffalo roam through Downtown Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan. Along the way, the herd and attendees will encounter live music, poetry, ceremonies and performances. Inspired by the buffalo’s return from near extinction, Return of the Buffalo is meant to herald a new era of healing.
