Join a two-panel symposium exploring the life, work and lasting impact of pioneering photographer Sophie Rivera. Grounded in the exhibition Double Exposures, the program examines Rivera’s contributions to Nuyorican visual culture, feminist photography and the politics of self-representation in New York from the 1970s through the 1990s. Artists, scholars, and historians will come together to reflect on Rivera’s legacy and its resonance today. Speakers will be announced in early Spring 2026.
