As part of Bayside's 250th anniversary commemoration of the United States, the museum welcomes Steve Eftimiades, caretaker of the Queens County Farm Museum's Adriance Farmhouse, for a presentation about the role of the cookbox. Washington's cookbox, or mess kit, is at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History; this reproduction shows how the mess kit supported Washington throughout the five-year campaign.
