Description
Following a construction-shortened season, the Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park returns to its typical summer schedule with two productions. Romeo & Juliet, directed by Saheem Ali, kicks off the program and runs from May 22 to June 28. While the play is performed in English, Romeo (Daniel Bravo Hernández) and Juliet (Ra’Mya Latiah Aikens) speak to each other in Spanish, signifying their shared, separate world. The Winter's Tale, directed by Daniel Sullivan, follows from July 25 to August 23.
