A child in a leopard-print outfit kneels on the beach, holding a large seashell to their face. Windswept hair and blue, abstract tree branches frame the scene under a vibrant sky.

Description

This group show, curated by Gemma Rolls-Bentley and inspired by Alice Austen's Clear Comfort home and its location near the water, explores queer women's relationship with the seashore. The exhibition showcases the work of 12 contemporary artists, whose pieces will be shown alongside Austen's photographs and objects from her shell collection throughout the house's galleries and domestic rooms.
